Grosse German Dated 1959 Art Moderne Brooch. Henkel and Grosse is an important German jewelry maker located in Pforzheim. They produced Christian Dior’s jewelry during the 1940’s and 1950’s, but then turned to designing their own line.
Grosse seems to date their pieces, such as this 1959 brooch. A nice refinement that takes the guesswork out of dating. In this Art Moderne piece, a mass of futuristic enameled white daisies are eternally open to the sun. Pretty candy-twist stems balance the display. The length is 2 3/8”. Signed Grosse and dated 1959. Very good condition. Free Shipping/Insurance in the USA! DH67-05 - $43
